The Wheel Specialist™ - Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply only to work completed on or after 1st April 2025.
For work completed prior to this date, please refer to the relevant earlier version of our terms and conditions, available on request.
The following terms and conditions constitute an entire and binding agreement between you and The Wheel Specialist™ (including its franchisees) at the branch where the work is carried out. These terms and conditions apply only to the franchise branch performing the work and do not extend to The Wheel Specialist™ franchisor or any other franchisee.
PLEASE READ THROUGH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY.
Scope of Agreement
Subject to these terms and conditions, you agree to pay for the service(s) set out in the documentation between you and the franchise branch of The Wheel Specialist™.
Accuracy of Documentation
It is your responsibility to ensure that all details on the Booking Confirmation form and any other documentation between us are accurate.
Vehicle Access and Equipment
All vehicles must be supplied with the original equipment manufacturer (O.E.M.) tool kit and locking wheel nut keys for removing and fitting wheels, where applicable.
Insurance and Vehicle Cover
All vehicles must remain fully covered by your personal insurance whilst in the care of the relevant The Wheel Specialist™ franchise branch.
Data Protection and Recording Equipment
In order to protect the privacy of both customers and staff, and to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, all in-vehicle recording equipment (including but not limited to dash cameras, audio recorders, or any other form of surveillance or monitoring device) must be switched off while your vehicle is on The Wheel Specialist™ premises.
By leaving your vehicle with us, you confirm that any such equipment has been deactivated for the duration of its stay on site.
It is your responsibility to reactivate any recording equipment once your vehicle has been returned to you.
Where recording devices are not switched off as required, any footage or audio captured may be considered a breach of UK data protection laws and must not be used, shared, or published in any form. The Wheel Specialist™ reserves the right to take appropriate action in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Liability for Damage and Loss
The Wheel Specialist™ shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage to goods or articles left in vehicles.
We will not be liable for damage or mechanical faults of any vehicle (e.g., flat battery, clutch issues) caused during its stay on our premises unless due to our negligence.
Liability for pre-existing faults or damage caused by wear and tear, corrosion, or poor castings is excluded unless we have been negligent.
Transport of Wheels
The Wheel Specialist™ does not accept responsibility for the safe transport of wheels delivered or collected by third-party couriers.
You must ensure any courier you use has adequate insurance coverage.

Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work and must be made via cash, debit/credit card, or other agreed methods.
Vehicles and wheels will not be released until full payment is received.
Additional Charges for Unforeseen Problems
We reserve the right to charge extra in the event of unforeseen problems that arise during the refurbishment process.
In such circumstances, we will take all reasonable steps to notify you of the issue and provide an estimate for the additional cost.
No additional work will be undertaken without your prior agreement.
Tyre Responsibility
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that tyres meet legal and safety requirements.
We recommend fitting new valves when tyres are removed. Rubber valves are provided free of charge, and chrome valves are available at an additional cost.
We accept no responsibility for leaks if original valves are reused at your request.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
You must inform The Wheel Specialist™ if your vehicle is equipped with a TPMS.
We do not accept responsibility for damage to TPMS valves or sensors caused by corrosion, wear, or fused components. If damage is found, you may incur additional charges.
Specialist and Magnesium Wheels
Refurbishment of magnesium wheels or specialist finishes is undertaken entirely at your risk due to their delicate composition.
The Wheel Specialist™ will not accept liability for damage to such wheels resulting from the refurbishment process.
Split Rims
Work on split rims is undertaken entirely at your discretion and responsibility. You must confirm suitability with the wheel manufacturer before refurbishment.
Split rims are excluded from all The Wheel Specialist™ guarantees.
High Gloss and Specialist Finishes
Certain high-gloss finishes (e.g., High Power Silver, Gloss Black) may show blemishes more readily depending on wheel condition. We cannot guarantee a ‘perfect’ finish, but we guarantee an improvement in appearance.
Torque Checks
When wheels are delivered for fitting to a vehicle, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that the wheels are securely refitted following refurbishment.
However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the wheel nuts are correctly tightened.
We strongly recommend that the wheel nuts are checked and retorqued as soon as possible, and no later than 50 miles of driving. Regular checks should also be carried out thereafter, in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines.
